Where I come from
A kid from the fields, building a one-page plan.
I grew up working the fields alongside my dad while my mom held things down at home. Normal kids, simple life, big dreams. I'm the oldest of four brothers and a little sister — and the first in my family to graduate high school and go to college.
I worked two jobs through school, earned my licenses along the way, finished my CFP®, and started my firm at 24. Every step of that road taught me the same thing: this industry hides behind jargon, and most people deserve a lot better.
That's why my approach is simple. Building a real plan is complex — that's my job. Handing it back to you in plain English on one page? That's the whole point.

How I Got Here
A short timeline of the years that shaped Simply Money — from studying late nights through school to building a firm for the next generation of go-getters.
2019–2023
Heads down, no shortcuts.
These were the years I was working to become the first in my family to graduate high school and go to college — while holding down two jobs and studying for my licenses.
Everyone told me to slow down. I didn't party. I wasn't out chasing weekends. People said being normal meant blowing off Friday and Saturday — I just couldn't see it that way.
Looking back, I'm grateful. My parents weren't paying my way through school, so the choice was simple: work, study, repeat. Those years built the discipline I still lean on every day.
2025
Passed the CFP®, started the firm.
In July, at 24, I passed the CFP® exam. The second I did, something clicked — I didn't want to spend my career just managing investments and running basic plans.
As a CFP® professional, I could see how much more was possible. But most advisors in this industry chase older clients with bigger accounts. I wanted to go the other direction — toward the younger generation I believe needs the most help.
So on November 17th of that same year, I started Garcia Financial Planning.
2026
Growing more than I imagined.
Simply Money has grown more than I ever pictured. I genuinely love the work.
People tell me all the time to take the weekends off — and I try. But it's hard to step away from something that makes you smile. Helping young go-getters make real progress with their money is the most rewarding work I've ever done.
What I believe.
I'm not a crypto bro. I'm not a stock picker. I believe in doing the basics really, really well before anyone touches the "advanced" stuff. Most of the time, the basics are the whole game.
I believe the American Dream is real — if you're willing to work it. I'm one of you: young, earning, learning, and trying to build something that lasts. What started as helping a few friends has quietly turned into a movement.
I've had friends tell me, "you're the reason I got started." I've spoken at high schools and colleges and heard the same from students. It means the world. My younger brothers and sister are chasing college now too, and watching them go after it is one of the proudest things in my life.
Faith, family, friends — in that order. I only take on clients I could genuinely be friends with.
